B.T.’s Fried Chicken and BBQ has targeted Saturday as the date it plans to reopen after closing earlier this week when an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The restaurant in Worcester, located at 318 Park Ave., has been closed since Monday after it announced an employee had contracted the virus.
On Thursday, through a Facebook post, B.T.’s Fried Chicken and BBQ said that the team members who tested positive are doing OK. No new cases emerged after other employees were tested. The restaurant has been deep cleaned as it continues to work with the city to comply with best practices.
B.T.’s, which opened in the fall of 2020, is hopeful to continue serving patrons this weekend.
“We can’t wait to get back to doing what we love to do and being able to serve you all delicious fried chicken and bbq,” the restaurant said on social media. “Our plan is to be open Saturday and hope to see you there.”
